Recently, Acentia announced that CTO Chris Chroniger was selected as a finalist in the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s (NVTC) 2011 Government Contractor CTO Innovator Awards. The award recognizes CTOs for their contributions to achieving results for their customers and their leadership.

Acentia CEO Todd Stottlemyer said, “In my mind, there is no better nominee for this award than Chris. He is an exceptional CTO and a powerful leader at the intersection of business and technology in the Federal Government space.”

Chroniger’s hands-on approach to modernizing IT infrastructure has won him high praise from customers and colleagues. He has helped Acentia build partnerships with government agencies helping them to successfully meet mission-critical challenges.

Chroniger has written and/or co-authored numerous published articles, proposals, technical papers and studies, ranging from a discussion of high-speed desktop networking alternatives to national deployment methodologies for simultaneous network upgrades and enhancements.

Chroniger holds an extensive array of industry and manufacturer certifications—from optical technologies to security, voice, and network management. He is a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert, and has developed critical solutions to challenging IT requirements from such diverse customers as service providers, transportation companies, financial institutions, and local, state and Federal Government organizations.

The CTO Award ceremony takes place tonight at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner.
