Yesterday, Salient Federal Solutions, Inc. (Salient) announced the acquisition of the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) division of Dataline, LLC. The ESS division is technology provider to the United States Department of Defense.

The acquisition will allow Salient to provide its customers with a broader range of integrated ESS and Mass Notification Systems (MNS) services. The addition of ESS to Salient also increases the number of qualified ESS/MNS field engineers.

Salient President and CEO Brad Antle said, “This expands our ability to help customers meet their security requirements and to protect both hard and soft targets anywhere in the world. We focus on missions that matter most to our customers.”

“Our business model emphasizes organic growth. The ESS acquisition will facilitate such growth by adding essential capabilities to our portfolio and giving us greater access to customer opportunities through the IESS contract vehicle,” stated Bill Parker, Chief Operating Officer of Salient.
