Razor’s Edge Ventures closed its first fund at $50 million

This week, Razor’s Edge Ventures closed its first fund at $50 million. Razor’s Edge Ventures is a new Herndon-based venture capital firm that focuses on IT technology companies and national security.

The firm now plans to invest $2-$4 million at a time into other small companies to start creating some cash-flow.

Managing director of the firm Mark Spoto said, “We think there are very few funds focused on this sector and one of our advantages is that our partners have years of experience starting, growing and running tech companies in this sector.”

Razor’s Edge Ventures plans to fund particular IT technologies including cybersecurity, mobile communications, visualization and situational awareness.
