As of September 6, 2011, Iron Bow Technologies, LLC, a leading provider of IT solutions, announced that it is now an owner-operated business. Iron Bow Technologies President and CEO Rene LaVigne and other senior executives acquired a controlling interest in the business through a management buyout.

Previously, Iron Bow was owned primarily by private equity funds that were managed by New Mountain Capital, LLC with revenues of roughly $800 million. Since the recent takeover, New Mountain and other shareholders will keep a minority interest in the business.

“This is a great day for Iron Bow as we were able to deliver outstanding value to all our stakeholders as a result of our committed vision, execution of strategy, and operational performance during the last few years,” said LaVigne, who has over 25 years of experience in the IT and financial industry. “We have solidified Iron Bow as a formidable platform and are considered among the elite in the marketplace. New Mountain has been a great partner over the years in supporting and building our business and I’m excited to have their continued support going forward.”

With strong relationships within the defense, civilian, intelligence and commercial markets, Iron Bow focuses its services in collaboration, network infrastructure, client computing, data center and IT security. The company currently has 300 employees and will not be conducting any organizational or management changes.

“Rene and the management team at Iron Bow have done a great job meeting the needs of customers and building the business. They are very well positioned to lead it going forward,” said Bert Notini, former Chairman of Iron Bow and a Senior Advisor to New Mountain. “We look forward to their continued success.”
