Today, CGI announced that George Schindler will become CGI’s new President of U.S. Operations. Schindler’s responsibilities will include leading CGI’s IT and business process services.

Schindler will take on this role starting October 1st when Donna Morea, CGI’s President of U.S. and India, retires after 31 years with the company.

Michael E. Roach, President and CEO of CGI added, “I would like to thank Donna Morea for her tremendous contribution to CGI and I am pleased that she has agreed to be nominated for election to our Board of Directors at our Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to be held in February 2012 so that we may continue to benefit from her experience.”

Schindler served as CGI’s head of Federal and brings a long list of leadership experience with him to fulfill this position. Schindler obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University and was recognized as one of Federal Computer Week’s top 100 leaders.

Before CGI, Schindler served as the Vice President at American Management Systems, Inc.
