SAVE THE DATE: DC Heart Walk; Saturday Nov. 5th, 2011, National’s Park, Washington DC.

Saturday, November 5th is this year’s date for the annual Heart Walk by the American Heart Association.
Money raised from the Walk will go towards research, education as well as advocacy programs under the American Heart Association. This year’s goal is 2 million dollars. Last year the Heart Walk raised over 1.3 million dollars.

2010’s highest fundraiser was Team MedStar. Team MedStar included members of Georgetown University Hospital, Montgomery General Hospital, and Washington Hospital Center.

Team Lockheed Martin has a running start as top 2011 fundraiser. Awards for Top College Team, Top Health System as well as Top Accounting/Consulting Firm will be presented.
