The Port of Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) awarded Blue Ridge Networks a three-year renewal contract to provide secure remote access to more than 60 offices and divisions that are comprised of numerous employees, vendors and contractors that use the PANYNJ.

Blue Ridge Networks, a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions to government and commercial enterprises, has been working with PANYNJ for ten years to deliver products and services that get rid of network vulnerabilities and prevent malware from accessing their networks. The company’s headquarters are located in Chantilly, Va.

“Ports are the backbone to many of the activities in our daily lives, providing goods and services from around the country and the globe,” said Jerry Edgerton, President of Federal Group for Blue Ridge Networks. “An early adopter of our solutions, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey understood the need for protection against cyber threats, which have grown exponentially in sophistication and density over the past decade. We are pleased to be able expand our cybersecurity services in support of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.”

Blue Ridge Networks will be using its new program EdgeGuard product suite, which includes installation and desktop support for all its users. EdgeGuard ensures a secured environment for all those accessing the network, even those using a public computer.

Blue Ridge Networks offers its solutions for a variety of industries including cloud computing security, telecommuting, healthcare data and supply chain management.
