The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded a five-year, multimillion-dollar contract to Iron Bow Technologies, an information technology solutions provider.  The contract is to provide TelePresence hardware and services to the EPA.

Cisco TelePresence Solutions are designed to enable high-definition face-to-face interaction and collaboration, which  will help EPA increase inter-agency interactions and intra-agency communication while significantly reducing recurring operating costs in support of current federal budget deficit reduction initiatives. TelePresence will also help the agency lower its carbon footprint by making telework possible.

“To operate effectively and accomplish its vital mission, the EPA employs a wide-ranging network of regional offices and laboratories,” said Rene LaVigne (pictured), President and CEO of Iron Bow Technologies. “Iron Bow will provide the EPA with industry leading TelePresence solutions which will facilitate effective communication and information sharing amongst their disparate office locations.”
