Lockheed Martin and Esri Sign For Partnership

Lockheed Martin, a global security company, and Esri, a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping software company, are joining forces to place online geospatial services and apps in more intelligence, military, homeland security and emergency response users worldwide.

Lockheed Martin recently joined The Esri Partner Network as a Gold Tier partner to provide GIS tools and apps to U.S. and international customers. The two companies have a history of working together on geospatial-intelligence programs to these specific clients.

“Having Lockheed Martin as a Gold Tier Partner will help us develop GIS technologies that are even more relevant to the geospatial community,” said Josh Lewis, Director of Esri Partner Network. “GIS is increasingly becoming a common platform for integrating and understanding all kinds of information and intelligence. Working with Lockheed Martin we’ll be able to combine more data in more useful ways for troops, analysts and first responders.”

The companies will continue to work together on upcoming geospatial opportunities.  In addition to the Gold Tier agreement, Lockheed Martin will assimilate new Esri capabilities into its existing geospatial contributions, including geospatial cloud infrastructure.  Esri will offer specialized expertise training and support to enhance its GIS software for specific requirements and operations.
