Iron Bow Technologies, a provider of information technology solutions, was awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), contract from the Social Security Administration (SSA). Iron Bow will deliver Cisco network foundation and support services to the SSA. The contract is for a two-year and nine month time period valued at $120 million.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to work with the Social Security Administration to provide a more robust network infrastructure, essential to the timely delivery of critical services,” said President and CEO of Iron Bow Technologies, Rene LaVigne (pictured). “Our contract with the SSA will bring best-in-class network solutions to the agency designed to decrease recurring costs, increase energy efficiency and enable advanced capabilities.”
The contract will successfully save millions of dollars for the SSA compared to their previous BPA. The current contract will distribute technologies that act faster, as well as more energy efficient. The BPA will help the SSA rejuvenate hardware and optimize their network structure. The outcome will be a network that allows better information sharing and a system that’s prepared for the future’s advanced technologies.
