Cvent, the world’s largest provider of online event management, meeting site selection and web survey solutions, has officially kicked off its Great Event Photo Contest. Event planners, attendees and venues are offered the chance via Facebook to submit a photo of the best event they have ever planned, attended or hosted for the opportunity to win up to $10,000. The contest is open to submissions from July 7 until August 8.

“We’re looking for the best that the events industry has to offer—whether that be amazing food, a creative display, cool décor, unique audio/visual effects or a fabulous venue setting,” said Eric Eden (@cventmarketing), vice president of marketing at Cvent. “Through this contest, we’re not only shining a spotlight on the unmatched creativity of the events industry and the venues that help bring great events to life, but also building a community on Facebook that event and hospitality industry professionals can look to for inspiration and to share ideas.”

Public voting will begin starting August 9 up until August 22, allowing fans to vote once per day. Twenty-five photos will be selected and named as the semi-finalists. Out of those 25, ten will be chosen to receive the $1,000 cash prize and one will receive the grand prize of $10,000. Furthermore, the venue that hosted the event will receive $8,000 worth of complimentary advertising in Cvent’s e-mail newsletter, the Cvent Supplier Network and/or the Cvent Destination Guide.

The prize winners will be announced on August 25. For more information on the contest and to submit your photo, click here.
