Attain Announcement: Mike Fox Leaving Business Development & Strategy Post

Corporate business development and strategy executive Mike Fox leaves his post at Vienna, Va.-based professional services firm, Attain LLC, Friday, July 22.

As senior vice president of corporate business development and chief strategy officer for Attain, Fox played an integral role in establishing the company’s foothold in the Federal market through his decades-long experience building and leading successful business development and capture organizations.

“2010 was a stellar year for Attain, and Mike played a big role in making that happen,” said Attain Chairman and CEO Greg Baroni. “We will always be grateful to Mike for his work in helping us to lay a solid foundation for growth – a foundation from which we are well positioned to continue building on our momentum.”

Among Attain’s most recent wins creating momentum is a prime spot on the Army’s $240 million AESIP ERP contract.

Before joining Attain in February 2010, Fox spent 22 years serving in various leadership roles at SRA International, Inc. In addition to leading SRA’s marketing and sales organizations, he was responsible for strategic planning activities, new business initiatives and mergers and acquisitions support. Prior to SRA, Fox worked for GTE Government Systems, where he focused on delivering systems engineering and technical sales support to Air Force command and control programs.

“When I joined Attain, I called it a start-up on steroids, and it was just that,” said Fox. “The company’s come a long way in short time – establishing a rigorous business and development and capture process, maturing the pipeline, gaining contract vehicles, and winning – and I only expect to continue seeing great things from this team.”

On August 1, Fox will join another government contracting start-up, which will focus on providing cyber security and counter-terrorism/counter-intelligence solutions to Defense and Intelligence customers.
