AFCEA Issues MOU with the U.S. Coast Guard

The Armed Forces Communications and Electronic Association (AFCEA) announced that it has issued a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Coast Guard, providing a framework for technical interchange between the two organizations. The Coast Guard, especially the C4I Service Center, will pull AFCEA resources to provide market research, identifying technology trends, and raising awareness of ongoing initiatives.

The agreements also states that Mr. Mark Powell, Director, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Information Technology (C4IT) Service Center, U.S. Coast Guard has been elected to serve as a liaison member of the AFCEA Technology Committee.

“AFCEA International is excited to partner with the U.S. Coast Guard and work with industry to collaboratively address problems and share best practices,” stated Kent Schneider (pictured), President and CEO, AFCEA International. “Mark is the perfect fit for our technology committee based on his capabilities and thought leadership.
