ActioNet, Inc., an information technology company located in Vienna, Va., chose Companion Data Services (CDS) to deliver hosting and data management skills in support of ActioNet’s efforts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

CDS will serve as a subcontractor for ActioNet on CMS’s five-year Data Management IDIQ contract.  ActioNet was one of five businesses to gain this contract.  This qualifies the companies to propose task orders in the fields of data and database management, business intelligence tools, data and information products, training and user support, as well as much more.  CDS will also provide ActioNet support for hosting and data management.

Not only does CDS function as one of the largest and safest health care data centers in the world, but they also provide health information technology services to CMS and other government and private units.  In addition, CDS runs claims, processing, programming and outsourcing services to CMS.

“We are very excited to be part of ActioNet’s team and look forward to providing our Department of Health and Human Services customers with continued innovative solutions via this new contract,” said Lola Jordan, CDS’s chief operating officer.
