Salient Federal Solution, a provider of Federal IT and engineering solutions, attended World IPv6 Day yesterday. Salient participated in order to draw focus to transition government networks to Internet Protocol version six (IPv6). During the event, Salient announced free web-training videos to emphasize security issues and risks associated with the transition.
The training videos looked into existing and future cyber threats. The videos showed audiences the importance for government agencies to implement IPv6 on the enterprise. The video also stressed the importance of creating an IPv6 cyber security plan, implementing deep packet inspection tools on networks and training systems and network engineers on IPv6.
