A prime contract by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to provide technical and programmatic services in support of the Office of Freight Management and Operations (HOFM) and the U.S. Department of Transportation was awarded to Science Applications International Corporations (SAIC).

The multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a two year base period of performance, three one year options, and a contract ceiling value for SAIC of more than $19 million possible.

“We understand the complexities involved with freight management and operations, and realize that there is a need to address the challenges involved with moving freight in our nation’s transportation system,” said Glenn San Giacomo, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.  “We look forward to continuing to work with the FHWA HOFM to promote the safe, reliable and efficient movement of goods.”
