SafeNet, Inc., a leader of information security, has announced the appointment of Chris Fedde to serve in the position of president and CEO.  Fedde will replace the previous president and CEO, Mark Floyd, who left in order to pursue other opportunities.

Fedde has worked at SafeNet since 2001, and has held the role of president and COO since 2006.

“The board looks forward to working with Chris Fedde to build on the company’s momentum at a time of tremendous opportunity,” said Alex Slusky, member of SafeNet’s board of directors.  “He is the ideal person to take on the CEO role at this point in the company’s development.”

Fedde will transition into his new position immediately.
