PBS Hacked In Response To WikiLeaks Documentary

The hacker group, Lulzsec, responded to PBS Frontline’s hour-long documentary on WikiLeaks by cracking servers and posting thousands of stolen passwords and fake news stories on PBS’s blogging website.

On Sunday night, an article showed rapper Tupac Shakur, who died in 1996, was found “alive and well” in New Zealand.  Even after PBS took down the story, the news of the fake stories spread all over the web.

Lulzsec claimed to be the group to hack PBS’ website on a Twitter feed.  The group is also known for hacking Sony’s Japanese website, as well as Fox.com where they stole 363 employees personal information.
