    Meet Shana Glickfield

Shana Glickfield is a partner at Beekeeper, a public affairs communications group.  Glickfield helps complete Beekeeper Group’s goal of leading the public affairs sector “toward a community-based, hive-driven approach.”

Glickfield didn’t expect to join the digital communications field.  She graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy, as well as a law degree.  Glickfield has found her role at Beekeeper through her work with many clients and managing Telecom’s multimedia website.  She was recently named one of five women as an “up and comer in technology” by the Washington Post and Washington Life Magazine.

Glickfield is also an avid user in social media. She suggests that those who are just starting out  their personal brand should go online, to either create their own website on WordPress and About.me, or use LinkedIn.

In order to build trust Glickfield says, “I try to walk the fine line of sharing enough information so that I connect on deeper level with people online, but not so much that I overshare or make people uncomfortable.”  Drawing advice from bestselling author Keith Ferrazzi, Glickfield is always finding ways to help and get to know others as a way of building your personal brand and network.

Even though Glickfield may still stick with the traditional use of paper calendars and planners in a digital world, she still remains a top leading communications and advocacy strategist in the D.C. area.

Just check out her website, she is a D.C. “connector” you want to know.
