    Inaugural Cultural and Organizational Awareness Forum June 14-16, 2011

    AFCEA International and the Naval Postgraduate School will be co-sponsoring the Inaugural Cultural and Organizational Awareness Forum in Monterey, California from June 14-16. The focal point of the forum is to decide what the magnatiute and the role of the U.S. Africa Command should be in supporting African stability through enhancing partner capacity.

    The forum will comprise of a series of plenary sessions accompanied by focused breakout sessions on Security Sector Reform (SSR), using SSR to explore larger issues of the U.S. military’s role in supporting a whole of government approach to promoting partner capacity through engagement strategies.

    The three-day forum will feature many speakers, including Maj Gen (Ret.) Charles DNP Namoloh, Minister of Defense, Republic of Namibia and Ambassador Timothy Carney, former Ambassador to Haiti.
