Beginning on August 1st of this year former professor and associate dean of Harvard Business School, David A. Thomas, will be Georgetown University’s dean of the McDonough School of Business. Thomas will also be the new William R. Berkley Chair at the McDonough School of Business.
As a professor, Thomas’s research has focused on executive development, leadership, and cultural diversity in the workplace. Among his accomplishments, Thomas is a recipient of the Executive Development Roundtable’s Marion Gislaison Award for Contributions to Executive Development Theory and Practice.
“A recognized thought leader in the area of strategic human resource management, David brings important academic and organizational leadership to his new role at Georgetown. I very much look forward to our work together to expand upon our existing strengths in research and teaching to respond to the changes and challenges of the 21st century,” said Georgetown President, John J. DeGioia.
