Eloqua, a revenue performance management solutions company, announced the release of their e-book, called the Grande Guide to Wikipedia on Tuesday. This book is another addition to the award-winning “Grande Guide” series. The purpose of this installment is to show the inner workings of Wikipedia, one of the Internet’s most popular websites. Grande Guide to Wikipedia explains terminology, policies, and frequently-asked questions by its marketers.
Despite its 10 year anniversary approaching, people do not fully understand the website and make common mistakes. Mistakes include not properly citing the articles or writing it in the wrong style and format.
“When you consider that more than half of the American adult population relies on Wikipedia for information, it’s astonishing that so few understand how it works,” said William Beutler, author of Grande Guide to Wikipedia and blogger of The Wikipedian. “I’m excited about this project because I believe the Grande Guide is the perfect format for communicating with an audience that sometimes has the most trouble with Wikipedia, and it’s rare for a company to sponsor an open resource such as this.”
Free downloads of the e-book can be found at Eloqua’s microsite, Facebook, Slideshare and Eloqua’s “It’s All About Revenue” blog.
