As of today, EMC Corporation, security and storage contractor, has acquired NetWitness. NetWitness is an information security company based in Reston, Virginia.
Chief Security Officer of NetWitness, Eddie Schwartz, said that the acquisition will “accelerate plans for growth, there’s a lot that is yet to be determined, but we see NetWitness as being strategic to EMC and RSA.”
EMC Corporation does not publish acquisition dollar amounts of privately held companies.
